First Field Flowers Here!

We completely, almost, missed the Peonies this year. Somehow, between my 3 growers, and a bit of hesitation on my part, we got 2 batches of Peonies from the Colorado flower fields. One grower contracted the whole crop out to Whole Foods basically, and I got left in the dust. The other grower is so unreliable that he made a one time appearance and never came back. And the 3rd never followed up, and I wasn't willing to book in a standing order for a huge lot of them. Oh well, so it goes.

The other field flowers started though! Today we got Yarrow, Veronica, Iris, and some Ornamental Grasses. There should be some more items starting soon, and then eventually Sunflowers galore. I really love mixing the wild looking stuff with my other locally greenhouse grown product and Orchids or other Tropical flowers. I will try to get some photos of these arrangements up soon.

In the meantime, I have a nice photograph of me to share. This was taken a couple of weeks ago up in the Medicine Bow Snowy Range mountains in Wyoming. Michael and I went for a quick car camping trip to my favorite hot springs. Hoping to close up and get out of town a few more times this summer, so call first if you are thinking you might stop by on a Saturday. You never know when I am going to try to escape for a little relaxation now that things have slowed down for the summer some.

Website up and running & I finally made it into Westword again after 19 Years!

Though there are still a few things that need some work, the site is up and running. I will, overtime, get new photos onto the site, but also on the blog. I am still trying to learn how to blog, but that will come with time and perhaps some more research about posting pictures and text.

If you didn't catch the Worst Case Scenario by Kenny Be' last week, take a look here at my ever so brief local celebrity status! Click on the link below and if it doesn't come up, then copy and paste into your browser. But now the link is bringing you to the current week, so you will have to go to the archives and pull up the week of June 13th, 2007??

Website Launch Next Week???

We are getting closer to launching the new website. I am delighted with how things are moving along now. Mostly I am to blame for the delays, since the flower biz won't stop for a minute for me to get other things done. Luckily I have the two most patient web people in the world working on our site, not to mention their talent and dedication is of perfection. Thanks Heidi and Trey.
Summer is here and More Flowers and gang are getting a chance to catch our breath. Summer flowers are right around the corner, and though I haven't seen a Peony yet, we are supposed to get some on Monday the 4th. Just in time to send some to my Mom for her birthday.

Spring is over.... but one last glimpse of some Tulips might help in the transition to summer!

Who said dead flowers can't be beautiful?

Beautiful Bride!
