More Flowers Delivers More Flowers
More Flowers is so fortunate to have so many great customers that have kept us going this past year, and we are so appreciative of each and every order we have received this year! It certainly hasn't been a normal year by any stretch of our imaginations! Everything from how we order inventory to staffing to sales and profitability has been tossed about like never before. Sometimes being a very small business does make it easier to be more adaptable, which has worked in our favor. A Giant Thank You for Helping Us Get Through This Year and Into Next Year!!!
Administrative Professional's Day is on April 21st this year, and we will be delivering these orders on Monday through Wednesday that week, 04/19/21-04/21/21. We are going to try to leave the day of delivery open between those three days, so we can group the deliveries to be closer to each other to be more efficient. We are still understaffed, so there is a limit to the number of orders we will be able to take. In addition, believe it or not, due to Covid, there is now a "world wide flower shortage"! Between transportation issues, production cuts, weather and a volcano going off in South America, and the economy recovering causing increased flower demand, it's gotten to be difficult getting the flowers we like to use at the prices we need. We are still being extremely cautious here with Covid, and we are still not delivering to buildings where we have to go up stairs or elevators. If there is a front desk reception that will accept flower deliveries just inside the entryway, we can make exceptions and deliver. We have tried getting recipients to meet us at the door, but that is too cumbersome and unreliable. So, hopefully, we can make deliveries to those working at home or have someone at home that might be able to receive the flowers in our no contact drop and dash delivery style. Please don't delay and CALL your order in today, because the website is blocked off for those three days of delivery, so that we can manage these orders and deliveries to accommodate the most orders.
PLEASE GIVE US THE RECIPIENT'S PHONE NUMBER ON THE ORDER FORM, AND DON'T FILL IT IN WITH YOUR NUMBER, UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TO BE AT THE LOCATION YOURSELF WHEN WE DELIVER! WE TEXT / CALL AHEAD ON ALL ORDERS!!
If you are trying to place an order on a specific day, and the website won't let you, it generally means we have blacked out delivery for that day because we are "full up" for the day, or are concerned about snow and the roads, or sometimes even because there aren't enough flowers in the cooler. But, it's always worth calling the shop number or emailing us to see if we are still able to do an order either for pick up or possibly add one more delivery!
In an attempt to keep things going smoothly and safely for staff, customers, and flower recipients, we have some protocols that we have been following for the duration of this challenging time. We are going to be short staffed for a while, which will play into how much we can do on any given day and where we deliver on certain days. Don't hesitate to call and ask, if you are curious or worried about placing your order. We are going to do the best we can on getting the flowers that we normally like to use, but the whole cut flower industry has been tossed on its head, so availability is unlike before. Plus, it's been very quiet lately, so we are keeping our selection limited, but very fresh!
All deliveries are going to be "Drop and Dash", and with Minimal and Masked contact! We are trying NOT to deliver to businesses yet, only residences, with some exceptions. Please don't hesitate to call and ask. We call and text ahead on ALL orders to be sure the recipients are home, explain our delivery protocols, let them know we are on the way, and we will ring the bell upon arrival, set the flowers at the door, and call or text and say we did so, if we don't see someone grabbing them. Pick ups are curbside only, as we are only allowing staff into the shop. No walk-ins at this time either, so all orders have to be preplanned.
Leave it to us! Our customers usually tell us to just do our thing. Our selection varies day to day and season to season, but the cut flower arrangements are always Lush and Full, Bright and Colorful. For 34 years we have worked with the best growers and suppliers available. Trust us to deliver a cut flower arrangement that will thrill the recipient! Of course, don't hesitate to let us know of any special colors or combination, and we will do our very best to accommodate.
